How I Create My ‘Bokeh Effect’ Photos

This trick can help you make really cool photos featuring beautiful bokeh.

Examples

HOW TO DO IT

1. Take a regular photo.
2. Take the same photo but out of focus.
3. Open both photos in Photoshop.
4. Set the unfocused photo on top of the regular photo.
5. Set the blending mode of the unfocused photo’s layer to screen.
6. Create a layer mask and black out any parts of the bokeh you don’t want in the final image.
